Reverend Peyton Works Masterclass and Day Sail Events into Key West Vacation
Key West, FL (Mon., Jan. 8, 2018) – International touring artist, The Reverend (Josh) Peyton, making what has become an annual trip to Key West for fishing, relaxation and sometimes a show or two, will present an acoustic guitar masterclass and an acoustic day sail outing during this year’s visit. Known best for raucous, plugged-in live shows with 3-piece unit, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, the Brown County, Indiana native has also benefited from a prolific online presence. Employing a combination of full-production videos, impromptu solo takes, lyric videos, cartoons, live sets and instructional sessions gives Peyton forum to exercise the breadth of his talents while sharing his larger-than-life personality with the world. This January finds the band (mostly) resting in between legs of an endless tour regimen which has had them delivering new music from Itunes / Billboard’s Blues chart-topping “Front Porch Sessions” to no less than 14 countries in the past 11 months.
On Friday, January 19 from 4 – 6:00pm, The Studios of Key West hosts The Reverend Peyton’s Acoustic Guitar Masterclass. With an emphasis on fingerpicking and slide technique, Rev. Peyton will give a handful of students an up-close look at the techniques he uses on up to 250 tour dates each year, and that make him one of the most highly regarded country blues guitarists in the world today. Class size is limited to 12. Advance reservations can be made online at www.tskw.org. $70 / $60 for TSKW members
On Tuesday, January 23, “Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Day Sail” will take place aboard The Schooner Hindu from 12:00-2:30pm. The lucky few who get aboard to this intimate experience on the waves will enjoy music and stories by The Reverend and Breezy Peyton aboard an almost-100-year old tallship while enjoying premium beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres.
